Patriotic Millionaires’ TAXPAC Endorses Peggy Flanagan for U.S. Senate

“We need candidates who have what it takes to turn the tide in America and reverse the economic destruction of the President Trump’s bill”

ST. LOUIS PARK, MN [7/11/25]—Today the Flanagan campaign announced that TAXPAC, the political arm of the national organization Patriotic Millionaires, has endorsed Lt. Governor Peggy Flanagan for U.S. Senate. The organization is made up of millionaires from around the country who believe in an equitable economy that benefits every American, not just the ultra-wealthy.

“I’m a Democrat because I believe government should benefit working people, not just billionaires and corporations—and the members of Patriotic Millionaires understand this to their core,” said Lt. Governor Peggy Flanagan. “It’s an honor to have the members of TAXPAC supporting my campaign to challenge the status quo in Washington and build a fair economy.”

“As the current Lieutenant Governor of Minnesota, Peggy Flanagan has a track record of getting things done to help those who need it the most. At a time where Minnesotans are facing multiple, concurrent crises, voters can trust that Peggy will continue to be a tremendous advocate for workers and tax fairness in the US Senate,” said TAXPAC Executive Director Jodie Rubenstein. “We need candidates who have what it takes to turn the tide in America and reverse the economic destruction of President Trump’s bill, which promises to make our situation far worse by giving lavish tax cuts to the rich and corporations, all while cutting the critical social services that working Americans rely on.”

TAXPAC’s endorsement comes on the heels of Flanagan’s announcement that her campaign hauled in nearly $1 million for the second quarter of 2025. Her campaign has support from over 20,000 individual donors. The average contribution was under $30 and 94% of donations were under $100. In addition to a groundswell of grassroots support, Flanagan has received more endorsements than any other candidate in the race with over four dozen from national and Minnesota leaders and organizations.

Ahead of No Kings Protests, Inclusive Democracy Caucus Chairs Endorse Flanagan for U.S. Senate

She has been a zealous fighter for Minnesotans with a vision of what we are fighting for

ST. LOUIS PARK, MN [6/12/25] — Today, the Chairs of the Minnesota Senate and House Inclusive Democracy Caucus, Representative Emma Greenman (63b, Minneapolis), Representative Cedrick Frazier (43a, Crystal & New Hope), and Senator Liz Boldon (25, Rochester & Parts of Olmsted County), threw their full support behind Lt. Governor Peggy Flanagan’s U.S. Senate campaign. The Inclusive Democracy Caucus Chairs endorsement comes just days ahead of nationwide protests against President Donald Trump’s rule in Washington. Peggy will participate in Saint Paul’s protest.

“Our role in this moment is to protect the democratic freedoms and civil rights of all Minnesotans. The Inclusive Democracy Caucus understands this at its core,” said Peggy Flanagan. “I’m proud the co-chairs of this important group see me as a leader who can fight back, and I’m humbled to have earned their endorsement. It’s an honor to fight alongside them and all Minnesotans who have never given up on the goals and ideals of what this country can be.”

“At a moment when Donald Trump is concentrating power and trampling the rights and freedoms guaranteed in the U.S. Constitution, we need more leaders in Washington D.C. with the courage to fight back and fight forward to strengthen the power of We the People. Peggy Flanagan has earned our endorsement because in the years we have worked alongside her, she has been a zealous fighter for Minnesotans with a vision of what we are fighting for – a stronger, more inclusive state and country where everyone has a voice and an opportunity to thrive. Peggy is the leader Minnesota needs in the U.S. Senate to stand up against the authoritarian overreach and to fight for the inclusive democracy that Minnesotans take pride and believe in,” said Representative Emma Greenman, Representative Cedrick Frazier, Senator Liz Boldon.

Last week, Peggy was endorsed by UFCW Local 663, former Interior Secretary Deb Haaland and nearly three dozen leaders from suburban and greater Minnesota. Peggy has also secured endorsements from U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren, former U.S. Senator Al Franken, Attorney General Keith Ellison, State Auditor Julie Blaha, Saint Paul Mayor Melvin Carter, and dozens of state, local, and community leaders, including nearly every member of DFL House Leadership and five legislators from the Second Congressional District.

Lt. Governor Flanagan Releases Kickoff Campaign Video, Introducing Herself as the Leader for This Moment

Touts Hard Fought Economic Wins She Delivered for Minnesotans, Statewide Electability; Says “The Time For Excuses Is Past”

ST. LOUIS PARK, MN [5/6/25] — Today, U.S. Senate candidate Lt. Governor Peggy Flanagan released a campaign kickoff video, laying out her background as a decades-long fighter for kids and families, leaning heavily into the economic wins and stability she has delivered both in and out of elected office. Flanagan, the only candidate who has been elected statewide, has a 30-point lead in early polling.

WATCH THE VIDEO HERE

In the video, Flanagan talks about her own life story as a kid who feared the bottom could fall out at any time and how she and her mom made it into the middle class thanks to federal programs like Medicaid, public housing, and SNAP. As she raises her own daughter, Flanagan understands how critical pocketbook issues are to Minnesotans’ everyday lives. That’s why she took on the hard fought battles to improve the lives of families and kids through paid family medical leave and raising the minimum wage. Flanagan understands that at a time when Trump and his billionaire henchmen are ransacking our government and making life more expensive for all of us, Minnesotans need a proven fighter to stay true to our values.

Full Script

A loud, clear voice.

That’s what my Ojibwe name means — and it’s core to who I am.

So, I’m going to be loud and clear about what’s at stake right now.

Trump and his allies are ransacking our government to give more handouts to corporations and billionaires.

Taking money out of our pockets to line their own.

They’re starting mindless trade wars that make our prices skyrocket and devastate our farmers and small businesses.

They’re wrecking our savings, destroying Social Security, and gutting our healthcare.

And I believe people are waking up.

A lot of Americans are feeling like the bottom could fall out at any moment.

I know what that’s like.

I was born and raised here in Minnesota by a hardworking single mom. Public schools, public housing, Medicaid, and our deep faith helped us to get by.

Now I’m raising my own daughter, and I know that it’s still too hard for too many Minnesotans to get ahead.

It’s why I’ve spent my entire career fighting for kids and families, from the Children’s Defense Fund, to Wellstone Action, to serving in public office.

And I’m running a different kind of campaign.

Because the time for excuses is past.

We need leaders who actually know how regular people live and have the political courage to actually help them.

Congress lowering the price of ten prescription drugs is great…but why not make Big Pharma lower the price of all of them?

From affordable healthcare to reproductive freedom, we’ll never get what we don’t fight for.

And I know about winning tough fights.

That’s how we raised the minimum wage in Minnesota.

And it’s how we won two, hard-fought statewide campaigns.

And in this fight, it’s all of us versus the extremist billionaires — and I’m betting on us.

Because when the people speak out with a loud, clear voice together, there’s nothing—and no one—that can stop us.
