U.S. Senate Candidate, Lt. Governor Flanagan Receives Surge of Support Across Greater Minnesota
Over a Dozen Leaders are Endorsing Flanagan’s Campaign for U.S. Senate
ST. LOUIS PARK, MN [6/3/25]—Today, U.S. Senate candidate and Lt. Governor Peggy Flanagan secured endorsements throughout Greater Minnesota. From Moorhead to the Iron Range to Mankato, support for Team Peggy stretches far and wide. Peggy’s leadership, lived experience, and ability to fight and deliver for Minnesotans is resonating with the state’s leaders in every corner of Minnesota.
“The issues facing Greater Minnesota are unique to each part of our state,” said Lt. Governor Peggy Flanagan, “But there is a common theme: people want change in Washington. Donald Trump’s government designed only for billionaires to get richer is not working for everyday Minnesotans. Greater Minnesota wants to see childcare, housing, and grocery costs prioritized by leaders, not the political games being played in Washington. I’m grateful to have strong support in Greater Minnesota and look forward to continuing to fight for the issues people care about.”
The following leaders endorsed Lt. Governor Flanagan’s campaign today:
Representative Luke Frederick (Mankato, Eagle Lake, Skyline)
Former Representative Jeff Brand (Blue Earth County, North Mankato, Le Sueur County, Nicollet County)
Former Representative Jen Schultz (Duluth)
Former Representative Rob Ecklund (Parts of Cook, Koochiching, Lake, and St. Louis County)
Commissioner Tim Summer (Beltrami County)
Councilmember Nicole Mattson (Moorhead)
Councilmember Heather Nesemeier (Moorhead)
Councilmember Emily Moore (Moorhead)
This group joins Rep. Heather Keeler (4A: Moorhead), Rep. Kristi Pursell (58A: Northfield), St. Louis County Commissioner Annie Harala, School Board Member Rosie Loeffler-Kemp (Duluth Public Schools Board), and Rachel Bohman (former DFL-endorsed Candidate for MN-01) on Team Peggy in Greater Minnesota
Raised by a single mother in St. Louis Park, Peggy has been a longtime advocate for children and families–whether heading Children’s Defense Fund – Minnesota, serving on the Minneapolis School Board, representing her neighbors in the Minnesota House, or working for all Minnesotans in her current role as Lt. Governor. Peggy is running for the U.S. Senate to bring family budgets and local economic opportunity to the forefront of lawmakers’ minds and be the voice of Minnesota families in Washington.
